OMD3 - Day 31 - #mynailsandmyperfume

Hi all!

Today: Perfume. So, one of my favourite perfumes (not that I have many) is Red Musk from The Body Shop. I dislike most perfumes, they're often too floral or sweet. Red Musk is completely without floral tones. Perhaps a bit similar to Hugo Boss Deep Red, but better. I've worn nothing else since I got it a few months ago. Except for it's sister White Musk Libertine (which is being discontinued) that I got about 2 weeks ago.

Polishes:

• Essence - 114 fame fatal
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• Essence - gel polish base coat
• Essence - gel polish top coat

Base: 2 coats of Fame fatal, which still left me with some visible nail line (Still searching for that true red that covers completely in 2 coats...). Then I sponged a gradient of Dark Matter and Fame fatal. Topcoated and done.

And of course a shot of my nails with my perfume bottle... which is the biggest they've got and therefore not that easy to hold...

Phew... I made it this month! I actually did more blog posts this entire month than I did in the previous six! I'm taking a break for a few days and I'll resurface somewhere next week!

Today: #mynailsandmybag. My mint green bag. With silver-coloured hoops.

Polishes:

• Essence - 25 Prince Charming
• W7 - 92 Silver Mirror
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of either Prince Charming or Silver Mirror. With a nail art brush I added the circles on my minty nails. Ended with Elemental Ward.

Today: #mynailsandmydrink. So... I went with coffee... not that I'm such a huge coffee drinker, but I do like my cappucchino's. And owning a polish called Steamy Affair that screamed to be used helped decide as well.

Polishes:

• Superficially Colorful Lacquer - Steamy Affair
• OPI - HL E11 - Warm Me Up

Base: 2 coats of Steamy Affair. This is a textured thermal from the Happy Hour collection. It is Limited Edition, but it's still listed on the website. Because the shop is in vacation mode at the moment, you can't order any polishes until August 10th though. I added some coffee beans with the OPI and a nail art brush. No top coat obviously.

You see mostly the cold state on my nails in these photos. Warm state turns to a more beige, or latte coffee, colour.

Today I've got the last NCC travel mani for you. Again you'll get to see my Cinderella hand... mostly because Mister Octopus was being observed by a submarine...

Base: 2 coats of Raindrop. Saran wrapped Never Green Before. Then added the rest with brushes and dotting tools (for the portholes). Ended with Elemental Ward.

Today: Princess. No clue why, but this mani seemed princessy to me. Perhaps it's the roses. And the feel of old paper. Not sure.

• Catrice - 030 My Café Au Lait At Nôtre-Dame
• Essence - 139 walk on the wild side
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP28 Coconut
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP10 Lychee
• Barry M - Matte Topcoat

Base: 2 coats of Coconut. Added dry brush strokes with Lychee and then painted on the roses. Added some dots with more Lychee. Ended with a matte top coat (I might have used a normal quick dry top coat first to keep the design from smearing, but I can't remember).

Yesterday: Wings. Phew. All caught up. So insect wings today. Not any particular one, just some fantasy insect wings.

• W7 - 92 Silver Mirror
• Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
• Essence - 41 Candy Kiss
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Silver Mirror. Used the white and a nail art brush to paint the wings. Covered the wings with Candy Kiss to give them some reflective winglike sheen and then topcoated.

Last Saturday: Weather. Still catching up. Because it has been raining, a sunny mani.

Base: 1 coat of white and 1 coat of Earnie & Birdie. Using the other yellows I added the sun and some rays. Very subtle. Ended with top coat.

Hi all!

Third mode of travel is the USS Enterprise. Yes, I am a Trekkie. Of course The Final Frontier is inspired by Star Trek, so I had to really.

• Catrice - 550 Marilyn & Me
• Essence - 147 Miss Universe
• Sinful Colors - 101 Snow Me White
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 1 coat of Dark Matter and 1 coat of The Final Frontier. Used the other polishes to create my USS Enterprises. Ended with Elemental Ward.
