Polish My Life - Classic Cremes Collection Winter Edition

Hi all!

It's about time I finally wrote this post. A while ago I read this review by Peachy Polish about the Classic Cremes Collection Winter Edition by Polish My Life. It's not often that I read a polish review which makes me want to order an entire collection right away. This one did. These are my first PML polishes and they are Ah-ma-zing. For me they're nearly 1-coaters and they stamp beautifully as well!

I'll show you two mani's I did with these in the past month as a lovely palette cleanser.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Vail
  • Polish My Life - Tahoe
  • Polish My Life - Telluride
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
And I used Born Pretty Store stamping plate BPL-029 item 21815.

Base: 2 coats of Vail (if you have smoother nails than I do you could get away with one thick coat). Next I stamped a rose image with Tahoe first and Telluride next. Clearly they are amazing stamping polishes as well! Ended with my favourite top coat Elemental Ward.

It's very subtle, but I love it anyway. Felt very sophisticated.

Onto my second mani with the remaining polishes from this collection.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life -  The Rockies
  • Polish My Life - The Alps
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of The Rockies (again 1 coat is possible with smoother nails than mine). With a nail art brush and The Alps I added roses. Elemental Ward last of course.

All in all, pretty good introduction to this indie brand, rather refreshing to see lovely cremes for a change. Also, packaging was lovely as you can see here. Have you tried any Polish My Life polishes? What do you think?

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - New Year

Hi all!

Quick post... hope you had a lovely Christmas! I know I did! Anyway, New Year means sparkles... hence a holo glittery gradient for this week.

Polishes:
  • Cien - 7 Frenchlook Rose
  • China Glaze - 551 Fairy Dust
  • Essence - LE Superheroes - 04 Super, Man!
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Frenchlook Rose to hide my discoloured nails and make it appear like I've got naked nails underneath the gradient. Next I added one coat of Fairy Dust. Then I sponged on Super, Man! to create the gradient. Add Elemental Ward and done.

I love the sparklies!

I thought this was rather sparkly... but an order from L13L came in the mail last Thursday (when I was wearing this mani) with a new and even sparklier polish... watch the sparkly here.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Christmas

Hi all!

It's only a week until Christmas! Time goes so quickly, and I never seem to have enough of it. Today's mani started out differently... but the peelable base coat and my nails don't mix. Must be nail chemistry doing it's work, because the polish on my index fingers popped off within 2-3 hours after application. This was all before I actually started on any nail art... the rest I lost within the next 24 hours after application. Also, Go Elf Yourself! used to be a white crelly... but that was 2 years ago. Some green glitters have bled their colour into the base, hence it's now soft green.

Polishes:
  • Lekker Lacquer - Go Elf Yourself!
  • Essence - 159 the green and the grunge
  • China Glaze - 1198 Running In Circles
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
  • Ünt - Ready For Takeoff (peelable base coat)

Base: 3 coats of Go Elf Yourself! except for my index finger, that's one coat of green & grunge with 1 coat of the CG.  I added top coat before I added the gold stickers (item 10481 over at Born Pretty Store). Then more top coat.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Winter

Hi all!

I'm back with a Winter mani. And winter means snowflakes. I love snowflakes, they are so pretty. So it's no surprise I took this as an excuse to wear snowflakes. The weather here hasn't been that cold (not freezing) here at all.

Polishes:

I used two different stamping plates for my snowflakes this time. VL006 by Vivid Lacquer and Festive Collection 02 by MoYou London.

Base: 1 coat of Snow Me White as undies for 1 coat of Blanco (Blanco needs 3 coats to be opaque and this way is faster). Next I started stamping. First with Sugar Apple and my VL006 plate. Then with Greyscale and the MoYou plate and finally with Born Pretty Store stamping polish and the MoYou plate. Finally a coat of Elemental Ward to seal it all in.

I really like the subtle layer underneath, it's barely visible, but still...

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Flakie Mosaic

Hi all!

I'll keep it short, because I'm late with this post. Must not leave mani's to create at the last minute... Anyway, this week we have double prompts! Everyone has the Glitter Topper or Flakie prompt, and my personal one is Mosaic/Stained Glass. Flakies and Mosaic it is.

Polishes:
  • I Love Nail Polish - A.C. Slater
  • Foxy Paws - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
  • Catrice - Million Styles LE - C04 Shake It! Flake It
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Gamma Burst
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Supernova
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Aurora Borealis
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of A.C. Slater. Using a striping brush and Gimme I divided my nails in fragments. Next I used a nail art brush to fill in some of the fragments with the different flakies, but leaving some bare to show the base. Ended with top coat.

I absolutely love flakies. They make your nails so much fun to look at.

Do you love flakies as well?
