26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Your signature style

Hi all!

This is the last 26GNAI mani! I'm not sure if another challenge will be taking it's place, if you know of any I could join, please let me know!

This last prompt is all about our signature style, I don't know if I have one, but I do love leaves and stamping. So here's both of those rolled into one.

Polishes:
  • Catrice - LE NEONaturals - C05 Have A Good Day
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 22 Silver
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 17 Turquoise
  • Mundo de Unas - 34 Dark Grey
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Stamping plate used is Hēhē 052.

Base: 2 coats of. I used the fern leaf image from the Hēhē stamping plate and stamped with silver first, then turqoise and dark grey last. Top coated with Elemental Ward.

I just love grey mani's with a pop of colour and I really love this one.

Love, Brethil

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Inspired by a garment - Floral Summer Dot

Hi all!

Today's mani is inspired by one of my favourite dresses, this one from Hell Bunny.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Cloud Blue
  • Polish My Life - Birkinberry Bomb
  • Polish My Life - Birthday Suit
  • Polish My Life - Little Red Dress
  • Polish My Life - 1950's Mint Fridge
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: a gradient of Cloud Blue and Birkinberry Bomb. I added white dots with Birthday Suit next. I created the roses by mixing Little Red Dress, Birkinberry Bomb and Birthday Suit. The roseleaves were made with 1950's Mint Fridge and Birthday Suit. Topcoated with Elemental Ward.

Making the roses is very easy, you mix the polishes roughly on a mat and then apply the polish mix to your nail with a brush.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Autumn

Hi all!

It's autumn! Over here that means lots and lots of rain. And time for hot tea, warm slippers and a cosy jumper. And plaid nails, obviously.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Maple Cider Shake
  • Polish My Life - Perfect Nightcap
  • Polish My Life - Deep, Dark and Couture
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate BPL-041 from Born Pretty Store (bought myself).

Base: 2 coats of Maple Cider Shake. I stamped using Perfect Nightcap and the top left image first, then with Deep, Dark and Couture using the second image from the right, top row. Sealed it in with Elemental Ward.

Apparently I stamp with a twist. Good thing I did the same for both colours, unintentionally...

What do you enjoy about this season? Let me know!

Born Pretty Store Review - coconut oil, polish and BP-X47

*Press Sample*

Hi all!

Today I've got several items to review for Born Pretty Store. I'll start off with one of  their nail/cuticle oils (item 39329). They come in different scents, and I've got the coconut one for you today. Main ingredient is grape seed oil, but it also has added vitamins, keratin and calcium. And it is pretty fragrant, so if you are sensitive to perfumy oils, this one is not for you. Personally I love the coconut scent this oil has. First a picture of my naked nails after cleaning. They are in need of some oil as you can see.

Below you can see the oil on my nails. It seems to absorb rather quickly and leaves my nails and cuticles in a much better shape.

The oil comes in a silver coloured pen which means you can't really see how much there is left. The oil itself has a greenish tint. If you're not into coconut, this one comes in lavender, peach, pineapple and almond scent as well.

After taking care of your nails, you're ready for some new nail art of course! And I have more items to review!

Polishes:
  • Born Pretty - 51 (item 40446)
  • NYC - Foil Explosion - 014 Magic Earth
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

And I also have a Born Pretty Store stamping plate to review, BP-X47 (item 40487).

Base: 2 coats of the Born Pretty polish. It is very opaque, self-leveling, just a lovely polish. It has several colourful flecks of green and pink. I stamped with Magic Earth and the circuit board image from the plate. Top coat is Elemental Ward as always.

Close-up of that lovely polish, can you see all those pretty little flecks?

Bonus photo taken with direct light to see how lovely the polish is. I wouldn't call it holographic, but it's lovely anyway.

The stamping plate is deeply etched like all other Born Pretty Store stamping plates I own, great quality. I can see some steampunkish design options with this plate as well.

Born Pretty Store kindly gave me a discount code to share with you all! If you use code BBL91 you get 10% off your purchase! You can find their nail art products here! And they offer worldwide free shipping!

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Inspired by a garment - Ikat

Hi all!

This month we're post mani's inspired by a garment. Today's inspiration is a lovely white and coral ikat top I own, you can see it here. I didn't just copy the top, but this is inspired by obviously.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Pumpkin Mashup
  • Polish My Life - Birthday Suit
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Pumpkin Mashup. I added the ikat pattern with a thin nail art brush and Birthday Suit and Dark Matter. Sealed it all in with Elemental Ward.

Ikat patterns are not that hard to do, they don't have to be precise, which is the charm.

I got a lot of compliments on these nails when I wore them to work (to match my top obviously).

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Dotting tools - but not just dots

Hi all!

This week is all about dotting tools, but not just for making dots. Which is why I used one to make leopard spots. Or Trill spots if you're into Star Trek *winks*.

Polishes:
  • Catrice - 19 Johnny Deep
  • Catrice - 18 Beetlejuice
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Johnny Deep or 3 coats of Beetlejuice (last coat sponged). Using a dotting tool I added the leopard spots. Sealed it in with Elemental Ward.

Beetlejuice is a lovely duochrome polish, with a shift from pink to green. It is streaky however, which is why I sponged on the last coat.

Love, Brethil
