The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Spring Fashion - Marble

Hi all!

Today I've got this month's NCC last mani for you. You can find the inspirational leggings here. Of course the leggings are plain black and white, but I chose two different colours instead.

Polishes:

• Barry M - Gelly - GNP20 Rose Hip
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP46 Acai Smoothie
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 1 coat of Rose Hip. Then I added drops of both Barry M's to a stamper and just smooshed away on my nails until I was happy with the end result. I added a stud on my ring fingernail and used some chevron nail vinyls from You Polish to add a Acai Smoothie chevron to my thumb and middle fingernails. Elemental Ward is my top coat of choice.

I really love how marbly this looks and this technique is so easy!

Lots of pink lately, though in reality I did not wear it in succession *winks*

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Hot Pink

Hi all!

This week's colour prompt is hot pink and my personal prompt is sponging.

Polishes:

• Mollon Pro - 26 Bright Pink
• Essence - 33 Wild white ways
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used PUEEN 72 for my double stamping.

I started with one coat of Wild white ways, then I used a make up sponge to sponge on the hot pink, white and black. It's just a little blur of them, no specific application pattern. Then I first stamped with the Bright Pink and then with the white. Ended with Elemental Ward as always.

Hot pink is actually a pink I will wear once in a while, just not too often.

Hi all!

Today we've got my third fashion inspired mani. I got my inspiration from this image here. It's simple and easy, perfect you're always in need of more time than there is each day.

Polishes:

• Barry M - Gelly - GNP17 Blue Grape
• Essence - 33 Wild white ways
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Blue Grape. It's a tad darker in real life than it is in the photos. I added the flowers with a thin nail art brush. Top coated with Elemental Ward.

This week's theme is music. I did what I almost always do when I need inspiration... I do a google search. All the rainbow and music notes I saw led me to today's mani.

And I used stamping plate VL 015 by Vivid Lacquer as well.

Base: 2 coats of Wild white ways. I added a gradient of the Aquarelle tints with a fan brush onto my nails. I then added a coat of Fairy Dust for some sparkle. I stamped with Dark Matter and VL 015. Ended with Elemental Ward.

Rainbows on my nails makes me so happy, I suspect I will be doing lots more in the coming months. Plus it's super easy with these Aquarelle Tints.

So, for this week's Spring Fashion inspired mani, I sort of cheated. I did my nails and then searched to find something that remotely resembles it.... I found this image.

Polishes:

• Essence - 33 Wild white ways
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP12 Green Berry
• Barry M - Glitterati - GTNP 4 Catwalk Queen
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Wild white ways for my decal nails, 1 coat of Green Berry and 2 coats of Catwalk Queen for the other nails. On the white nails I added some water decals (pattern BP-W10) from Born Pretty Store and sealed them in with Elemental Ward. For my other nails, I applied one coat of Elemental Ward before painting on the leaves with Green Berry. Ended with more Elemental Ward of course.

Water decals are so easy for intricate designs, I have to use them more, I have a whole stack of them that I bought from Born Pretty Store and haven't used yet *winks*.

Hi all!

This week is all about Neons... and splatter (my personal "pattern"). So I made a huge mess, some got onto my nails, most on the paper towel and polish bottles though...

Polishes:

• Foxy Paws - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
• El Corazón - Matte Effect 141 
• El Corazón - Matte Effect 142
• El Corazón - Matte Effect 144
• El Corazón - Matte Effect 145
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of the silver holo Gimme. Using a straw dipped in the polishes I splattered until I was happy. Finished with top coat. I did use a liquid latex product (Kaleidoscope Cuticle Defender) and latex gloves with chopped off fingertips to minimise the cleanup.

For some rainbow (although in the sun it was a lot more obvious) I took a photo in direct light, see below.

And finally my cinderella hand. Of course the splatters looked better on that hand... figures.

Hi all!

This month is all about Spring Fashion, Today's mani gets its inspiration from this image by Acne Studios. And I had to use all the pretty Barry M's I got during my holiday, so the colour scheme is slightly different.

Polishes:

• BK - Matte White
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP 17 Blue Grape
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP 12 Green Berry
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP 6 Prickly Pear
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP 18 Mango
• Barry M - Gelly - GNP 13 Papaya
• Barry M - Matte Top Coat
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 1 coat of the BK white, it dries rather chalky, but I knew I'd be covering most of it anyway. I topcoated before adding the colours. I applied them similar to an ikat design, just small brushstrokes. After I applied all the colours, I sealed it in with Elemental Ward first, then made it all matte with the Barry M Matte top coat.

I really liked the outcome and wore it for a couple of days. What do you think?

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Floral

Hi all!

So, this week's floral design is from my vaults. It is inspired by this floral design from Lacquerstyle.com. It's been sitting in my vault since last August....

Polishes:

• Catrice - 81 My Yellow Fellow
• Essence - 25 Prince Charming
• Essence - 35 Engaged
• Essence - 48 My love diary
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: probably 3 coats of My Yellow Fellow. The nail art was done using brushes. Sealed it all in with Elemental Ward.

Yellows always appear brighter to me once I've put them on, compared to the colour in the bottle. I think this would have worked better with a pale background.

I'm not completely in love with my version, though it did grow on me when I wore it. Taking it off left me with stained nails... perhaps that's why I shelved this for so long... revenge *winks*.
