Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Love - Teal

Hi all!

Today I'm combining a few things I love. The colour teal and holo! The holo is in the form of holographic nail foil (item 41667 pattern #4) and a holographic polish.

Polishes:

• ILNP - Admire Me
• Kaleidoscope - stamping 86 nephritis
• Essence - nail foil transfer solution
• Ünt - Ready For Takeoff
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

And I also used Born Pretty Store stamping plate BP-L047.

Base: 2 coats of Admire Me or Nephritis. On the Admire Me nails I stamped with nephritis and BP-L047 (top row, third image from the right) which is exactly the same image as the one I chose from the nail foils. I placed a few rhinestones (item 41753 colour 2) on top. On my other nails I applied the foil transfer solution first and then pressed the nail foil on it to transfer the image to those nails. I added the Ünt peel off basecoat first and then Elemental Ward to make sure the holographic quality stayed the same.

The holo is very visible in direct light, I love having a rainbow on my nails!

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Dragon

Hi all!

Today's the last day already for Mythical Creatures week... and my final mani is dedicated to dragon scales. I got these funky looking glitters from Born Pretty Store to try out and they reminded me of dragon scales.

Polishes:

• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• ILNP - Cygnus Loop
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
• Born Pretty Store - item 41464

Base: one coat of Dark Matter and one coat of Cygnus Loop. These glitters are oil slick just like Cygnus Loop, so I thought it would look cool on the nail as well. But I messed up a little... I should have realised that I should place the glitters from the tip of the nail towards the nail bed instead of the other way around.... Plus my top coat totally changed the glitters from oil slick to black. Not sure how that happened.

It's such a shame the oil slick effect was ruined by the top coat, just appreciate all the effort I put into placing all of those glitters please *winks*.

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Tiny Monsters

Hi all!

Today I've got some tiny monsters for you. Not sure how mythical they are, but they are so creepy cute, I had to show these to you. Plus I decided to give some love to an old favourite multichrome polish, Mutagen by ILNP. Can you believe it's been 4,5 years since these came out?

Polishes:

• ILNP - Mutagen
• Kaleidoscope - stamping 01 black
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I used Hēhē stamping plate 089.

Base: 2 coats of Mutagen. I stamped the monsters using the black stamping polish and finished it with Elemental Ward.

These little monsters do come alive on top of that multi chrome, don't you think so?

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Unicorn

Hi all!

Obviously, I had to do unicorn inspired nails this week. How could I not? They are the most famous mythical creatures ever. I've used some unicorn-like nail powder from Born Pretty Store (provided for review) to represent unicorn skin and made some rainbowy unicorn horns to go with it.

Polishes:

• Essence - 33 wild white ways
• Essence - 101 crashed the party?!
• Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 11
• Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 10
• Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 03
• Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints 04

• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward (not pictured)

Base: 2 coats of wild white ways. I added Born Pretty Store nail powder 41472 (colour 1) while it was still tacky. Just gently padding it on, not buffing at all. I sealed it in with Elemental Ward. I created the unicorn horns as nail decals on a plastic bag using the other polishes and added them to the nails.  More Elemental Ward to seal those in.

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Nautilus

Hi all!

Today I've got some Nautilus nails for you. Nautilus is a group of molluscs that still roam the oceans today, but this mani is for their long lost giant cousins that went extint millions of years ago (actually belonging to the Ammonoidea subclass). To me, they are mythical, because all we have left are fossils.

Polishes:

• NYC - 208 Pier 17
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Stone of Space
• Femme Fatale - Nord-Pas-de-Calais Trio - La Sirène
• Femme Fatale - Nord-Pas-de-Calais Trio - Opal Coast
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Stone of Space. I added a layer of Elemental Ward first and let it dry. Then I added some snail shell nail vinyls. I dabbed the two Femme Fatale polishes on top, removed the vinyl and sealed it in with Elemental Ward.

The Digit-al Dozen does Mythical Creatures - Fairies

Hi all!

A new Digit-al Dozen week has started and this week is all about mythical creatures. So I'm starting off with fairies!

Polishes:

• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Luna Landing
• Kaleidoscope - stamping 06 mint
• China Glaze - 551 Fairy Dust
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate Fairytale Collection 01 from MoYou London.

Base: 2 coats of Luna Landing. This is a blue to green thermal polish. I stamped the fairies with the mint stamping polish on top, added some Fairy Dust and topped with Elemental Ward.

Warm state is blue, cold state is green, and you can see a tiny edge of green at the tip of my nail.

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Love - Roses

Hi all!

This month our theme is "Love". I'm not overly fond of Valentine's myself, so I'm steering away from pink and hearts. Today I have some roses and zigzags for you.

Polishes:

• Polish My Life - Peaceful Serene
• Polish My Life - Love Is Calm
• Wycon - 504 Magnetic Midnight
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Peaceful Serene. I added zigzag nail vinyls on my thumb and ring fingers and applied Love Is Calm and Magnetic Midnight. On my other nails I freehanded some roses mixing Peaceful Serene and Love Is Calm. I used Magnetic Midnight for some accent leaves. Topped everything with Elemental Ward as always.

My zigzags could be better, and I personally prefer thinner zigzags.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Black and Neon

Hi all!

Everyone's doing black and neon mani's today. I've spiced mine up with some geometric silver nail studs (item 41750) from Born Pretty Store, which they kindly sent to me to review. They come in a nice box with 12 different shapes. They are slightly curved already to fit your nails more easily.

Polishes:

• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Dark Matter
• El Corazón - Matte Effect - 141 neon
• El Corazón - Matte Effect - 145 neon
• El Corazón - Matte Effect - 144 neon
• Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 1 coat of Dark Matter. I used a thin nail art brush to create circles, triangles and squares with the neon polishes. I added a coat of Elemental Ward and then placed the geometric studs on my nails. I used the smallest circle, triangle and square studs of the set. I added another coat of Elemental Ward on top.

Because these nail studs are slightly curved they fit my thumb nail nicely. On my more curved nails I had to bend them a bit more to make them fit better, but they are easy to shape.
