Hi all!
Today I've got some Nautilus nails for you. Nautilus is a group of molluscs that still roam the oceans today, but this mani is for their long lost giant cousins that went extint millions of years ago (actually belonging to the Ammonoidea subclass). To me, they are mythical, because all we have left are fossils.
Polishes:
- NYC - 208 Pier 17
- Lucky 13 Lacquer - Stone of Space
- Femme Fatale - Nord-Pas-de-Calais Trio - La Sirène
- Femme Fatale - Nord-Pas-de-Calais Trio - Opal Coast
- Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
Base: 2 coats of Stone of Space. I added a layer of Elemental Ward first and let it dry. Then I added some snail shell nail vinyls. I dabbed the two Femme Fatale polishes on top, removed the vinyl and sealed it in with Elemental Ward.
Do you consider long extinct animals mythical as well? Let me know!
Love, Brethil

You captured a beautiful shell effect. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I think they're fascinating indeed, since some species are still around and have hardly evolved over millions of years, it's excellent :D
