26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Pond mani

Hi all!

Today's prompt is Pond Mani, which is in fact layering a jelly polish with a simple pattern over and over. The original idea is credited to this mani here.

Polishes:
  • Kaleidoscope - Aquarelle tints - 03
  • Born Pretty Store - 18
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 06 mint
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate Hēhē 116.

I alternated a coat of the jelly polish and stamping the fir leaves. I did two or three layers stamping with 18, one coat of Mint and two more coats of 18. Sealed it in with Elemental Ward.

I did like the look of this, although I do feel it would look better if the jelly was less murky.

This mani took forever to dry though, when I woke up in the morning I had managed to get a huge bump in two nails...

Love, Brethil

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Pastels - Leaves

Hi all!

My third and final pastel mani has leaves... I blame MrCandiiPants. I was perusing some of her old mani's...

Pastels:
  • W7 - 92 Silver Mirror
  • Polish My Life - Peaches Anyone?
  • Polish My Life - Muscat Martini
  • Polish My Life - Rays of Sun
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

Base: 2 coats of Silver Mirror, Peaches Anyone? or Muscat Martini. With a nail art brush I added the leaves. Sealed it all with Elemental Ward.

My leaves are not as perfect as MrCandiiPants, but I still really like them.

Love, Brethil

Nail Challenge Collaborative presents: Pastels - Pink Floral

Hi all!

My second pastel mani is all pink. Sometimes I get the urge to wear pink, not often though *winks*. This was a bit of a palate cleanser for me.

Polishes:
  • Mollon Pro - 25 Powder Pink
  • Polish My Life - Vail
  • Polish My Life - Telluride
  • Essence - 97 flamingo
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 81 bisque
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
I also used stamping plate BPL-026.

Base: stamping marble using all the nude and pink polishes. I just dabbed the polishes on a stamper and then smooshed it onto my nails. Stamped on top of the smoosh marble with Bisque stamping polish. Top coated with Elemental Ward.

The Digit-al Dozen does Stamping Week - French with a twist

Hi all!

Today I've got a combination post for you, it's the last Digit-al Dozen stamping mani and the #26gnai French with a twist. Since I'm not really into French nails at all, this is a variation on a French mani that I can stand to look at *winks*.

Polishes:
  • Cien - 7 Frenchlook Rose
  • Essence - hello foils transfer solution
  • Essence - hello foils graffiti look transfer foils
  • Ünt - Ready for takeoff (peel-off basecoat)
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 01 black
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 22 silver
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē stamping plate 098.

Base: 2 coats of Frenchlook Rose to hide any staining. I swiped on the transfer solution and applied the foil after about 90 seconds. I sealed that in with Ünt Ready for take-off. I stamped with black and silver and then added Elemental Ward.

I really liked the look of the foils peeping through.

Do you wear a french mani often?

The Digit-al Dozen does Stamping Week - Jungle leaves

Hi all!

I think today might be my favourite mani of this week! It's green and all leaves, so how could I not love it?

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Under the Mistletoe
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 06 mint
  • Born Pretty Store - 18
  • Mundo de Unas - 48 Military Green
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used Hēhē 114 as my stamping plate.

Base: 2 coats of Under the Mistletoe, which is a very dark green polish. I dotted my stamping plate with all the other greens and scraped them into a blend creating a lovely effect. I also stamped one leaf with 18 on top before adding Elemental Ward to seal it all in.

Just look at those marbled leaves, doesn't it make them look more realistic?

I hope you love these just as much as I do!

The Digit-al Dozen does Stamping Week - Layered chevrons

Hi all!

Another stamping technique that looks great is layered stamping. I don't really have any stamping plates that are specifically designed for this look myself, but I found a stamping plate that worked for it anyway!

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Stripped
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 13 true red
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 01 black
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 02 white
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward
I also used MoYou London's Fashionista Collection 04.

Base: Either 2 coats of Stripped or the True red stamping polish. I paired the top and bottom left images, even if the chevrons are not exactly alike, it sort of worked. Stamping was done with the 3 stamping polishes obviously and then topped with Elemental Ward.

I was very glad I got this to work, I have yet to find a clear stamper that I like.

Any recommendations for good clear stampers? Mine never really like to pick up the images from the plates that well.

The Digit-al Dozen does Stamping Week - Grey geometric

Hi all!

Yesterday, I showed you stamping on top of a gradient, today I have some gradient stamping for you. So, the other way around!

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - Storm Clouds
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 04 pink
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 74 tea rose
  • Kaleidoscope - stamping 88 vinous
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate BP-L060.

Base: 2 coats of Storm Clouds. I did some gradient stamping on top and sealed it all with Elemental Ward. A good tutorial by Very Emily on how to do gradient stamping can be watched here.

I really liked the subtle gradient from dark red to pink.

Do you prefer to stamp on top of a gradient or to do gradient stamping? Let me know!

The Digit-al Dozen does Stamping Week - Pink leaves

Hi all!

One of my favourite mani's is having a gradient with some stamping on top. So that is what I'm starting this week out with.

Polishes:
  • Polish My Life - White Coco Bean
  • Polish My Life - Breakfast on Fifth
  • Polish My Life - Peacock Feathers
  • Polish My Life - Birkinberry Bomb
  • Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental Ward

I also used stamping plate BPL-026.

Base: one coat of White Coco Bean, then I used a makeup sponge to sponge the gradient on top. I added a stamp using Birkinberry Bomb next. Finally a coat of Elemental Ward.

I was amazed how well Birkinberry Bomb stamped, but then again, it's a one coater.

Do you have normal polishes that stamp great? Let me know!
