33DC2013 Day 23 - Geometric

Geometric, another prompt that can result in such different designs. I really wanted to do some glitter placement, I have ordered a selection of glitters on eBay. They have not arrived yet, so I had to make do with the few glitters I do have. I settled on my large silver hexagon glitters that were in a nail art set from Essence.

I started out with 2 coats of KIKO 378 Light Plum, a lovely purple. It's a gorgeous colour, lovely formula as well.

When my base was dry I added a coat of cheap slow drying top coat (smelled horribly) and started placing glitter. I wanted to do the placement you see on my ring finger on all my nails at first. I like how the center is a star. It was just too big for most of my nails, so I decided to do a mix and match of patterns instead.

Besides the "star" on my ring finger and the chevrons on my middle finger, there's no real thought behind the placement on the other nails. I added two coats of Glisten & Glow's HK Girl top coat to seal it all in. The glitters are very large and tend to stick out where my nail curves.

I hope you like it! I better start counting my polishes for the next prompt... last time I did the greens won, but blue and purple were closing in...
