Oh Mon Dieu Part Deux - Feathers & Tri Polish Tuesday

Hi all!

During the month of July the Oh Mon Dieu Part Deux (OMD2) Nail Art Challenge is hosted by Brijit from Brijits Digits, Jacqui from Craftynail, Jemma from Eeeek! Nail Polish! and Lindsay from Nail That Accent!. There are awesome prizes to be won just for joining up, no judging or voting involved! For more information how to enter read this page.

It's Tuesday already... time flies. Of course I'm doing another combination mani, so let's look at this week's polishes!

From left to right:
  • Barry M - Gelly - GNP 10 Lychee
  • China Glaze - 1148 Tart-y For The Party
  • China Glaze - 1299 At Vase Value
  • China Glaze - 1300 Grass Is Lime Greener
  • China Glaze - 1290 Thistle Do Nicely

I'm wearing two coats of Lychee as my base. With my smallest nail art brush I freehanded the feathers using the other colours. I like how they turned out. Lastly, I added some pink dots on the accent nails... I shouldn't have used this pink, it's too neon. It would have been better with a softer pink.

Just imagine the pink dots aren't there... I do like my peacock-like feather however.

Have you ruined a mani with something as simple as adding the wrong coloured details? Tell me so I know I'm not alone here *winks*

Check the other feathery mani's below!

  3. Haha I know how feel about your dots! I ruined my fruit nails yesterday by using a dark color to accent my pineapples. I got mad and totally re-did them. Glad you didn't though. That pink adds a lil something to the design. And your hand painted feathers are really cute!

    1. I hardly ever redo a design myself, time's precious. But I am glad you all seem to like the dots! Makes it less of a fail! Thank you!
