Tri Polish Tuesday - August - Stripes

Hi all!

I'm back! I spent Thursday evening until Sunday evening at Castlefest with my hubby and best friend, and it was wonderful (obviously I'm the one with leaves in my hair)! Sleeping in a tent was a different challenge... snoring neighbours and crying babies and all that. The weather was good, a bit too warm for my liking, I even got an unvoluntary tan. But the Annings pear peach cider I had made up for all that, and of course the lovely folk music (I liked Irfan, Rastaban and Rapalje best). Monday I went pear picking to raise money for the amateur brass orchestra my hubby plays in. After four days on my feet, I am knackered... I can feel I'm not 18 anymore (double that age in fact).

And it's Tuesday (well, just)! I went with something simple for today... stripes! This month's colours are blue, yellow and red... not the easiest colours together.

From left to right we have:
  • Sinful Colors - 101 Snow Me White
  • Miss Helen - 24
  • China Glaze - 1299 At Vase Value
  • China Glaze - 871 Lemon Fizz
  • China Glaze - 1152 Sunday Funday

I started with two coats of Snow Me White. I used 3 different striping brushes (different thicknesses) to freehand my stripes. I used this pattern as my inspiration. I finished off with a coat of G&G HK Girl top coat. My current bottle is getting low and a bit thick, so working fast to avoid bleeding is difficult, and sadly it shows (especially on my thumb).

The evil red bleeding... grrrr.

I do think this pattern works, but it'll not be easy for the following tuesdays to come up with something nice. Do you like this month's colour scheme?
