Swatch - ILNP Absolute Zero

Hi all!

Today I have another I Love Nail Polish holo for you. It's Absolute Zero, the freebie you could get when pre-ordering at least 3 polishes from the latest collection. It is not for sale unfortunately. All photographs show 2 coats of Absolute Zero with top coat, photos taken after a day of wear. I was in a hurry to do my nails and rush out the door when I did these, hence no time to take photos until a day later. I used flash, except for the last photo which was taken with indirect light as indicated.

Absolute Zero is a navy blue scattered holographic polish. It's a lot less holographic than for examply Grape Alicious and Molly which are linear holographic polishes. As with the other ILNP holos I have you need to apply carefully, it has a tendency to drag if you use thin coats. Seeing as I did these in a hurry it's not that difficult to get right *winks*.

I think Absolute Zero is a lovely dark colour, but personally I prefer linear holos. I like the holo to be in your face holo. This is much more subtle, which could be nice for certain occasions of course. And not everyone likes the in your face type of holo... hard to imagine for me, but I'm sure it's true!

Indirect light

The last photo shows the polish without flash and it's subtle beauty. Which holo type do you prefer? Scattered or linear?

  1. Hi, I came here from WPNFF bloggers bootcamp post! I love your blog. Your photos are really great - I'd just say to size them a bit bigger - they're so good so make sure people can see them! I also prefer all the follow buttons be right up top on a blog so I don't have to go searching for them (plus I get easily distracted by pretty shiny nail polish pictures). I think you've got a great watermark as well! :D

    1. :) Thanks for the feedback. I had wanted to change size on my photos, but honestly never looked into it yet. I set them to XL now for this post. Do you like this size?

  2. Hi. I found your blog through the WPNFF boot camp. I have to say I agree with the comment about making your pictures bigger. Also might I suggest making your widget titles a tad bigger also. They should stand out a little more so people notice them. I love the color scheme you use. It has character without over shadowing the post content. Hope this helps :)

    1. Thank you for visiting! Pictures bigger... check. I might dabble with the widget width as well, just don't want to lose my blog border with the pretty leaves ;).

  3. Hey, I'm from Bloggers Bootcamp too. I really love how you mix different polishes together an a harmonious design - holos with creme, three different colors, shimmer and creme polishes... Your pictures look great now. Size matters ;) But as for me, sometimes there are too many shots - like the same pose but just holding a different polish. Since you already showed the polishes in the first shot (what a great idea! LOVE it), it seems rather a duplicate... Btw, I totally agree about the cute watermark! It's totally unique!
