FingerFood's Theme Buffet - Weather

Hi all!

This week's theme is Weather. The weather here has been very mild for winter, and wet. Rain, rain, more rain. So today's mani is about rain. I tried stamping, but it just did not work out like I wanted to. So I kept it simple. Perhaps because the polish I used is so utterly gorgeous, it does not need much to look fabulous. Well, it does not need anything at all to be honest. Be warned, this post is picture heavy.

Today the star of the show is I Love Nail Polish You're My Boy Blue. It is a delicious baby blue linear holographic polish. I absolutely love it. The pictures show two coats, no top coat. It was slightly streaky after the first coat, and you have to be careful not to drag, but it is glorious after two coats. And no visible nail line whatsoever! Nor does the blue stain on my ring finger shine through. It does show any imperfection in your nail, like ridges. And spots where you accidentally peeled your nail while peeling cheese *coughs*.

Here we have:
  • I Love Nail Polish - You're My Boy Blue
  • I Love Nail Polish - Absolute Zero

I painted simple raindrops with Absolute Zero and a small nail art brush on top of You're My Boy Blue. I used a slightly bigger flat brush to add some shading with some diluted polish. Before I finished it off with top coat, I added a small accent with You're My Boy Blue in the shaded area to mimic light reflection.

I wish there was some sunlight around when I wore this, but we had rain. This polish shows off it's rainbows even in lamp light, so I could enjoy it indoors as well. I can stare at these photos forever...

If you need this polish, you can buy it here. I absolutely recommend ILNP, this last order I did shipped within hours!

Go check out the other girls as well!

    1. Thanks :). I prefer more sun than rain right now, but it's all better than floods of course!
