Hi all!
It's the second GOT mani! Today it's all about stripes. I will be showing you a combination of colours that I did once before. I didn't have a blog then, so for the blog it will be a new combination. Today's polishes are both older as well, I got them somewhere during 2012. Essence changed their bottle shapes since then. Both Catrice and Essence change their core collections around each year, neither of these is currently available.
Polishes I used:
- Catrice - 810 ACid DC
- Essence - 14 Rock Rebell
I absolutely adore ACid DC, it's one of my favourite greens (along with King Of Greens). I have a top that has both these colours in it, which is what inspired me to use them together in the first place. Rock Rebell is okay, it is thick and gloopy and a bit hard to work with.
Stripes meant I got out my striping tape! I placed them onto my nails to create stripes, varying the width between them and even using double or triples to make the striping pattern a bit more interesting. It's not that difficult to use, if you remember one thing. Do nail by nail, some striping tapes have a tendency to leave colour or glue behind if you let them linger too long, which could ruin the entire thing. Paint your second colour and remove the tape while it is still wet. Top coat when it is dry.
Not one nail is the same, and I do like these kind of stripes. I went with a normal stripe pattern on my ring finger, but I prefer the irregular patterned nails.
I should do stripes more, I really like it, it is just more time consuming than dots.
