Golden Oldie Thursday - Pink

Hi all!

Thursdays are for yet another challenge. It's The Crumpet's Golden Oldie Thursday challenge. The idea is to use your older polishes, preferably older than a year and used. I'm not sure I will manage all of them, my polish obsession only really kicked off in the past year, but I do have some polishes from before, some even a few years old! You can read all about the rules here. It would be great if you would join the Crumpet Nail Tarts Facebook group and join in the fun challenges!

Today's prompt is pink. And boy, do I have a pink for you! I bought this polish several years ago, I think about four years ago, give or take. Old enough I should think. It's from a drugstore brand and no longer for sale. It's not very unique and you can find similar colours from a lot of brands.

From left to right we have:
  • Etos - Effect nails - 004
  • Essence - Stampy polish black

And the lovely MoYou London Fairytale Collection 03 (yes, again). This time I used the circular pattern from the top.

Unfortunately this pink polish is not that opaque, I had to use 3 coats to hide my nail line. I have a similar colour by Catrice that just needs two coats, so I prefer that polish. But the Catrice one I got less than a year ago, so it was not allowed out to play for this challenge. On my index and middle finger I simply stamped the circular pattern with the black polish onto my nails. Easy peasy. Sealed in with topcoat as usual.

On my other fingers I placed round black studs, 2mm in size, bought on eBay in a wheel with several colours. They're placed onto wet top coat and sealed in with one coat of HK Girl topcoat.

This is a very simple design, but sometimes simple is good too. I prefer pinks like this one, bold, in your face pink, and it goes so well with black.

Pinks come in a variety of shades... I am sure you will find lots of different ones from the other girls, check the Inlinkz below!
