33DC2013 Day 6 - Texture

Texture. There's something interesting combining the smooth finish of an ordinary polish with textured polishes. Today I'll be using a combination of black glossyness with red sandy sparkle.

Polishes I used:

• Essence - 144 Black Is Back
• P2 Sand Style - 040 illegal

I started with two coats of Black Is Back (which basically needs 1,5 coats to be opaque). I added HK Girl Top Coat to be able to use tape quicker. I used another of my crafting scissors and scotch tape.

I applied the tape on my nails in different ways, straight, diagonal, just a bit of mix and match. I added a coat of Illegal and removed the tape. I did need to dab a bit more Illegal on certain areas to make the red pop more.

Illegal is a lovely textured polish, a lovely warm red with red and even some fuchsia micro glitter.

I do like this simple design, I think these are my favourite crafting scissors, it gives such a fun effect!
