Golden Oldie Thursday - Indie & 31DC 2.0 Green

Hi all!

I'm doing another combination post! Today is also the second prompt of the alternative 31 Day Challenge named 31DC 2.0 and today's prompt is green or yellow. So combining this means a green old indie. And I do have one (well, actually two, shhh).

The indie and not so indie:
  • Polish Addict Nail Color - Mojito
  • L.A. Girl - 3D Effects - GNL307 Sparkle Ruby
  • China Glaze - 1300 Grass Is Lime Greener

And I also used one of my Vivid Lacquer stamping plates, VL014. I bought this back in November (Black Friday sale I think) and it was unused... yeah, I know. I do like my Vivid Lacquer stamping plates, the images are large (those squares are 2cm x 2cm!) and etched deeply. And those designs... too many great ones to choose from. She usually announces restocks on her Facebook page.

I am wearing 3 coats of Mojito, which was part of my first indie order in May 2013 from Mei Mei's Signatures. I have worn it, but it's not been on this blog before. I can't find this polish on PANC's site, so my guess is that it's no longer available. Mojito is a pastel green crelly filled with all sorts of glitter. Most prominent are the neon green hexes and the red hexes and bars. If you're lucky you can catch one of the mini stars (red and green). I do love those mini stars, they are small enough that they do not stick up and are just cute.

Because I did not want to remove Sparkle Ruby from my ring fingernail (patched nail break) I just worked it in. Tomorrow's and Sunday's mani will feature this colour on that nail as well *winks*. I stamped with both Sparkle Ruby and Grass Is Lime Greener with the adorable "tree" pattern. This pattern reminds me of a taxonomy tree of life and is the main reason I bought this stamping plate (dragonflies came second, dinosaurs came third). As you can see Sparkle Ruby is great for stamping! The holo particles don't transfer well, but the colour itself does. I had never tried stamping with the 3D Effects polishes before, but when I saw this post by Amalie of Kuchen's Ingredients I knew I had to try it as well!

What's your oldest indie polish? Do you have any indie stamping plates? Let me know!

More old indies down here!
