Nail Art Ideas Linkup - June - Pearl

Hey mateys!

This week's theme is pearl... and I thought black pearls... The Black Pearl! Arrrrr! Yes, my mind works in strange ways, I'm sure you're not that surprised if you've been following me for a while. So no girly mani featuring pearly shades or pearls or anything like that. No, no, no... I'm going all piratey on you! I did add some pearls though... black ones!

Today's pirates... polishes:

• Essence - LE Hup Holland Hup - 02 Hattrick!
• Wy - 28 Black
• NYC - 003 Prey of Grey
• Mundo de Uñas - 32 Reddish
• HEMA - Top Coat Matt

I got a new white because I read it was a 2-coater... this is from Essence Dutch World Cup LE. They released polishes for the red, white and blue in our nation's flag (the German LE features black, red and yellow). I only bought the white one, I am not a sports fan at all, so the rest of this LE did not appeal at all. Hattrick! could be a 2-coater with careful application (for me, and I'm not good with white polishes), but I think I still prefer OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls because it seems less runny. On my index, middle and little finger I sponged grey and black, and more white (it's mist... trust me). I added black pears and topped with the matte top coat.

Some close-ups of my accent nails. My ring finger sports a pirate flag, specifically the flag used on The Black Pearl. I sponged more "mist" and mattefied it all. My thumb feathers The Black Pearl itself, covered in mist obviously, she sneaks up on other ships like that *nods*.

Do you approve? If not, you might have to walk the plank! Arrr! Sorry, couldn't resist a lame joke *winks*.
